Inspired by a skull of a barred owl found in the RISD Nature Lab.

Sketches were drawn to explore iterations of the backpack, focusing on exploring different materials, folding techniques, and color schemes.

After having a general look in mind, the bag was made through
free-hand folding and pinning, and eventually sewing. 
Without the excessive planning process, the bag is able to be formed in a more organic shape.
